maybe some ppl just want it to work right out of the box. i downloaded mine from https://www.technobuzz.net/google-installer-for-miui-9/. Worked with my Redmi 5 Plus. Not sure if Mi Max 3 comes with MIUI 9 or MIUI 10 but if it's 9, can use this Google installer apk.
