Xiaomi Mi Max 3 - Come in!

Helped my dad update to Android 10 for his Max 3. Generally feels smoother, some bugs like Accessibility button cannot be disabled has been fixed in this build. Other than that all is good, need to monitor battery life though, seems to be consuming more power.

Updated to android 10. No difference. Battery like the last version, drain very fast the same

Given it a few days, so far battery life is more or less the same on the Android 9 11.0.7 build. Not too bad, thought I need to factory reset it.

Looking for replacement phone. Guess the next best replacement model be the redmi Note 9s with 6.67" screen?

Is there any bigger one to match Max 3 6.9"?

Note 9 screen feels much much smaller than Max 3's because Note 9 is narrow and long though the difference is only 0.2 inch.

Nope, 6.67" for Note 9S is the largest new Redmi/Xiaomi model thus far. Think it is the best bet to replace the Max 3.

i know max 3 currently can get at around 170-180 for export set.

Mine was local set in the water. Now mi store dun sell the phone liao.

Is there anymore local set max 3 and price now?

And is the flashing of export set to global rom is as difficult? Thats why 1.5 year back i decided to go for local set for no headache..........

i think now export set alry in global ROM .no need to do the flashing.ask the seller first

Huawei Mate 20X, almost the same physical dimension, similar battery life, with a bigger and better screen (7.2" OLED screen), and much faster processor. Can stil find used set with warranty on Caurosell, or can import from TB (note it's a China set, different from what was selling in SF)

Yup. And if it's just for media consumption, you don't need a leading edge processor too. It's more than adequate.

after using mi max 1 and 3, very hard to switch out to other phones now. for the screen and battery size. hopefully mi max 3 will not be the last model for this line.

Same here, especially at $300+/- price range. I, myself, moving on to Mate 20X.
