its too affordable till I won't make much loss even if I sell it now.

Can anyone help me with booting into twrp? I installed twrp through miflash, and when I press power and vol up button, the mi logo only appeared for a millisecond. May I know what could have gone wrong?

Hmm.. Your bootloader unlocked?

You should install TWRP via Fastboot mode.

Ok, i will try to get my bootloader unlock.

There is a guide on xda which says i can get the mi max rooted without getting my mi max bootloader unlocked. I am lost now cause I havent done rooting since HTC M7 days.

Is there any guide i can follow? TIA

I think that procedure may not work with new rom already.

Anyway, below is my personal note, copied from here and there and from few bros here who have contributed quite a lot. :s22:

**Note: Follow my guide note at your own risk hor. :s8::D

<< eu rom - twrp and rom installation steps >>

What do you need:
: Unlocked Bootloader.
: adb program. (Any adb program).
: Download the correct TWRP.zip from eu rom.
: Download correct eu.rom.zip.
: Unzip the twrp.img to pc.

01. Copy twrp.img into adb program folder.
02. Open cmd prompt and go to adb folder/directory where you put the twrp.img in it.
03. Power down phone.
03. Plug in cable to the end of the phone.
04. Vol- / Power to enter Fastboot mode on phone and connect the other end of cable to PC immediately.
05. Using cmd inside the adb program directory.

*********************************************
fastboot devices
fastboot oem device-info
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img
**********************************************

07. > *Phone will reboot by itself into Twrp recovery.

---------------------------------------------------

01. TWRP can ask for password, press cancel and allow modifications by moving slider.
02. <Wipe Cache/Dvk>
03. <Monut> (select Internal Storage).
04. <Enable MTP> (It should has been enabled by default) and copy the rom.zip into your phone.
05. Copy the eu rom.zop to your phone internal storage from PC.
06. <Install> to flash your rom.
07. <Wipe Cache/Dvk>
08. Flash latest supersu (Only If you need root).
09. <Reboot> the phone.
10. Setup up your phone as per normal likes with official Xiaomi rom.

Good to hear that. :)

Unlocking bootloader and install TWRP and then flashing 3rd party roms are very fast and simple processes. :). All these processes can be completed within 15 minutes nia.

Nothing to fear at all for those we wanna install eu rom which I highly recommend it for super awesome and super snappy 100% pure MIUI experience comparing to official global rom. :)

One still can flash back to official global rom anytime as they wish without any problem or fear of bricked using miflash in EDL mode.

My phone can't hit full charge despite being plugged into power overnight. Seems like problem happened after the latest ROM upgrade. Wonder if anybody has similar issue or is my battery or charger faulty already?:(
