I'm not sure Lazada offers self collection, but with their protection, I don't see the need to go down personally to check the phone.
Their shop prices is more ex than online prices. Need to order online then go down to collect for best prices.

Hi just wanted to check again. Anyone got issue with the phone camera? Mine when start the camera it will not focus. Must wait a few secs then will focus normally.

If it's $15, maybe you should just hoot the HSBC offer rather than missing it.

Use EDL Mode method:

For that error "cant read COM port XX" coz you did not install the required driver for your PC (Windows?) to detect the Mi Max in USB Debugging mode when you plug in.

You need to install the Quadcomm driver namely the 9008.

Download from here. It is either an .exe or zippy. So, you either run it or browse it to update the Quadcomm 9008 via Device Manager.

The duration of the flashing process should be bewtween 15 mins to 20 mins. Also, make sure you opened you MiFlash program first before plugin your Mi Max to PC!

Other bros may be able to give you a proper MiFlash process link. I don't have it off hand now!

I've tried numerous times, still doesn't work for me. Am still getting the "Cant read from COM PORT XXX" error. Sibei sian ... are there like any shops that can help me solve this problem? Really damn disappointed with Simder, why did they even need to mess with the ROM anyway? Doesn't benefit them in any way right?

Well, It depends on the surrounding (light).

Usually, it take 1, 2 seconds to focus in good lighting. It's normal! Bear in mind, MI Max's camera is never a top-notch one! Therefore, super fast focus is non-existence!

Yes. 8.2 series of MIUI has too high of Saturation even with its default setting of Normal.

So, the workaround is to set the Saturation to Low for the time being rather then leave it at its default value of Normal.

No no the focusing is ok. Just that when I first start the camera it will not focus at all. Need to wait up to 5-7 secs then the focusing will start to work. So just to check whether is phone problem.
