Just out of curiosity, what makes the EU rom so much better than the global one?

The basic! It is based on Stable China rom which always has much better build and polished and bug-free than Global rom. One good example; the low volume and volume scaling in so many recent versions of Global rom which has never been present in China rom!

Below are extracted from eu rom webby. The essential one are highlighted in bold Red!

EU ROMs features (Whats not in Global):
Enabled search in statusbar
Enabled search gesture (swipe up) on the desktop
Enabled MiDrive in File Explorer
Added landscape mode for SMS app
Sunrise/Sunset in the weather app
Google apps support integrated
Importing theme from zhuti.xiaomi.com via ThemeManager
No useless Chinese bloatware apps
More free RAM due to less background processes
Unified flat style app icons for both system and 3rd party apps (eg. Play Store icon flat too, unlike official global MIUI)
Advanced menu with color icons (not just text like in official MIUI releases)
No any Chinese character under the full system
Mi Video, Mi Music, Mi Radio, Mi Browser: No any useless Chinese content
No possibility to re-lock bootloader accidentally with flash any xiaomi.eu release
Added real 27 languages translation made by Official MIUI Fansites and MIUI Fans
Added EU T9 dialer support
Added charging sound switch
Added Spell Checker switch
Added Screen-OFF animation
Optimized GPS settings for EU
Optimized Battery consumption
Optimized RAM consumption
Added OIS auto-calibration for MI5
Added support for Camera2 API for MI5
Added 3D Touch to MI5S 3GB RAM version
Added GSMalphabet into SMS app
Deodexed
And more, and more made by our 5 years MIUI mods experience..

Optimized battery and ram usage I see. That does make the EU rom a winner. BTW, does zhuti.xiaomi.com have a better theme library as compared to the theme collection from the global rom? Can I manually import themes? Also, is there a similar rom with the essential features for the rmn3?

Yup! That contributed to the snappier, speedier and smoother MIUI thus increase in overall performance! :s22:

Again!

Those who want an even snappier and smoother as well as bugs-free's MIUI experience. I would suggest to install eu rom where you get the best of both worlds, the best of official China rom and the best of official Global rom combined. :s22:

It is still 110% original MIUI UI based. Nothing change at all!

Eu rom comes with Google Service pre-integrated into the rom. It works flawlessly and with that, you do not have to install Google Apps separately on your own which can be very time consuming and can have some conflicts!

Eu rom splits the Google Apps into pieces too. SO, you can choose which Google Apps to install or not to install likes Gmal, Google Playmovie, Hangout, etc.!

The best of all, the installation of eu rom is so much simpler and faster than MiFlash / EDL mode on official rom. It takes just under 5 minutes from installation to boot-up screen! :s22:

**Pre-requisite is to Unlocked Bootloader which is pretty easy and safe nowadays! :s22:

Thanks for the recommendation!

At $260, not that bad! Quite a good price! :s22:

Again! May I suggest eu rom 8.2.3.0 MiMAX for your 32GB!..:D

$260 still consider good price for 32gb? thought the normal price should be slightly cheaper?

Somehow, the price of 32 is kind of stuck at this region now! :s22:

So, it is considered a good buy already, plus minus few dollars of difference from different sellers. Makes not much of a difference for such sub $200+ phone. :)

Don't be too bother about that few dollars of difference.:s22::)

Happy can liao for the buyer!

For those of you who watch movies using the phone, where do you load it into ah?

Sorry, have never done it before, but since I've got one with gigantic space now I thought I might try hehe.

Internal Storage is always the 1st choice!

Yeah the 32G/3G phone is for my Father to play Pokemon with flygps hack. 3GB ram more than enough, considering mine is 1GB ram (but on iOS)
