10 hours SOT is good enough for long haul flight eventhough

The only really deal breaker so far is the camera and screen size is really attention magnet in office haha.. thinking of getting note4x which is using snapdragon 625 which is more energy efficient since i dont do gaming

the fingerprint scanner is always on standby, drains the battery.
I failed to find ways to bypass the unlocking bootloader process, that's why I sold it within few days of usage.

For those who have bought glass protectors, do those only stick on the edges? I'm talking about the type that claims to cover entire front and has white/black borders.

I failed to find ways to bypass the unlocking bootloader process, that's why I sold it within few days of usage.

Which fingerprint ? For mimax or note4x ?

It does not cover full screen. Small gap at the borders

But I feel it is fine. No regret to use glass protectors

Stable eu rom MiMaxPro 8.2.3.0 for 64/128. Else just MiMax 8.2.3.0, is the zip file you need.

EU ROM web site has a simple guide.

Gonna do my best to flash the mimax to EU rom later!

Update: I searched online and some say just download the ROM to the phone and run/click the ROM and it will update itself. Is it really so easy? (I don't need any backup image files, coz it's a fresh set. So dun need twrp)

Another source say just unlock bootlocker and then point it to the right path on boot up.

Which way works best? Bootlocker uplock or just run the rom after boot up?

If you want to risk it without twrp, then go ahead if you think it is easy. With twrp at least something goes wrong still can fall back.

It's all up 2 choices and willingness to take risks. Anything deal with flashing can go wrong de (even flashing twrp). Confident ok. No confidence? Then always follow the foolproof method.

Got one protector cover whole screen fully transparent one.
It comes with a special oil that u need to use after sticking to get the edges down, need apply at the edges between the screen and protector, then it will go down.

I do use BBS and i see some google svc wakelocks but not so much. Now i disable google play and google svc framework

Iam using cm browser

Still 10 hours SOT. I will be happy to get 14-15 so that i can charge every 2 days. With current 10 hours really awkward timing to charge haha

Btw iam using helium 3/64 GB and most of the time 2 small and 2 big cpu are offline when i check in kernel adiutor

I dont see any possibility to get 21 hours (maybe not even 14-15) even with wifi only or even with aeroplane mode

when I'm browsing hwz before sleep,I always put the brightness to zero as not to hurt my eyes since the light in my bedroom is dimmed. 30% of it came from the 21h SOT lol
that's why the SOT can be so high.

kernel adiutor wise, I have tried running from a single (damn lag) to x4 little cores (decent speed) on powersave mode 400/400. then now ,on interactive mode 4 little cores, 400/400.
realized battery impacts a bit with one big core running, so I off it.

I think 4 cores interactive saves battery than 4 cores powersave. you may try it.

wifi and airplane mode wise, I don't use it.network is always on 4G. dual SIM ,m1 (dial) and ST (internet).
and are you on m1 anyway?

note 4x. have tried updating to miui 8 on Max before ,battery affected probably because of the always on standby fingerprint scanner.that was why I reverted back to miui 7.

You can try, but I have no idea about those method mentioned.

Most people use twrp to flash eu rom or 3rd party rom and also, eu rom developers themselves highly recommended the twrp method for their rom! Using TWRP has proven to be the best and safest since day one and as what Dragonguy said, you can fall back to official rom easily with twrp method.

Follow the one I have given with TWRP method / the eu rom twrp method.

The whole process is less than 15 minutes. Fast and safe!

charge till it indicates (full) lor.
if not, probably the always running apps in the list could be the problem for battery drain.

I also have freezed a few system apps using titanium backup pro, and disabled a number of components using disable service. that's why my apps in the running list gets lesser.

I believe the shorter list the running apps is, the better the battery.
