anyway, are you guys using the integrated music player?
I have too many files to be scanned, till it lags like hell. that's why I installed huawei music app. it takes not more than 10secs to scan the 40+gb of files.

see what are your needs.
I can't stand the scanning of stock music, despite I adjusted the 8 cores running at Max 1804MHz. still very slow and the phone heated up.

Pulsar is quite good and fast but audio quality still can't beat the stock music app.

MIUI music app is quite good in audio quality even without activating any profile in the Mi Sound Enhancer. :)

**Based on my China based eu rom whereby the Mi Sound Enhancer is functioning perfectly unlike the official Global rom.

You can try, but I have no idea about those method mentioned.

Most people use twrp to flash eu rom or 3rd party rom and also, eu rom developers themselves highly recommended the twrp method for their rom! Using TWRP has proven to be the best and safest since day one and as what Dragonguy said, you can fall back to official rom easily with twrp method.

Follow the one I have given with TWRP method / the eu rom twrp method.

The whole process is less than 15 minutes. Fast and safe!

Turns out the shop delivered with global ROM. I will try out a few days before deciding if should change to EU ROM.

Thanks for the pointers!

The major bugs with the official Global rom are:

1. Low volume output for YouTube via earpiece. It is partly due to the volume scaling bug between different source of media inputs (YouTube, mp3, video audio).

2. Mi Sound Enhancer is still not functioning in Global rom. Also, the moment you activate it. The media volume (mp3 and video) drops drastically low!

If these 2 bugs are not a major factor to you. Then, you should just stick to Global rom even though eu rom is way much smoother and speedier and snappier and with awesome MIUI audio quality!

Enjoy your Mi Max. :s22:

If i am not wrong. You can't play pogo on a rooted phone. Not sure if eu rom is considered as rooted...

EU ROM is not a rooted rom by default. :)

Superuser root is optional for users who wanna root. :)

Users can choose to root or not to root after TWRP eu rom. :)

I didn't root my eu rom. :)

That's good to know that eu rom can be rooted or not.
