Global rom is likes that.

Usually, the China rom gets all the "goodies" or fixes or at least, gets it first long before the Global rom gets it.

That explains why the China rom based of eu rom is so popular around the world even though it is not that widely used in Singapore.

There is but slow bandwidth. Hardly got people bother to wait and use it.

We usually just download the rom zip, transfer to phone and use the Updater to update. Faster also.

The download takes just 2 minutes the most. Most of time, takes just less that 1 minute for a 1.5GB of rom zip file. They have multiple fast download servers.

The whole process takes just 5 minutes and your phone will be updated nicely. Safe and reliable.

Also, for those who dislike the new white icon, eu rom repacked them with non white..

I can go google out guides to flash EU ROM, so that's not an issue.

The thing is do I have to keep the root function after flashing? I rather not keep the root, since based on my needs, it is not necessary to run any apps which require root.

then he salivate over my mother's redmi note 4x 5.5" screen easier fit

to solve this problem I must get another 5.5" phone with 64gb rom ? or get cheapest RMN4 + 64gb microSD card

Installing eu rom itself needs no root at all! Just use TWRP!

Only if you wanna root, then use the same TWRP to install supersu!

I have been using eu rom since March 2016! I did not root my phone until MIUI goes up to Android 7.

I root it now coz I die die wanna use my very special personal custom tone which I have been using it since 2013 for my WhatsApp!

**WhatsApp in Android 7 can only recognize tones in the root\system\directory! So, I must put my custom tone into that directory in order for my WhatsApp to play my personal custom tone.

Understand your concern but there is nothing to worry about any "additional" with eu rom! !

The matter of fact, it is actually a case of "reduction" with eu rom!

Redmi Note 4 32GB local set was going for $188 awhile back on Qoo10.
