After dropping phone few times, power button a bit erratic.
MiMax has assistive button, Nova can double-tap home empty space to lock, but lazy go homescreen, thus looking for fingerprint lock.

GApps included in the ROM. No need to install yourself. Have weekly update. But idk if can OTA to stable once it's released. No big deal since can always flash to stable it we can't OTA to stable.

I went through big headache to flash away the pre-install rom. The updater, EDL mode, miflash, mi PC suite, all didn't work.

In the end, I apply for unlock from Xiaomi, install twrp, erase the entire rom and than copy the beta rom into my sd card. Thereafter use twrp recovery method. The headache gone once and for all and than flashing is very easy, just copy the rom into your phone and click updater and choose update package. Every Friday, just click check for updates will do.

Doesnt mean if it has LTE means its a phablet.. iPad Mini also phablet?

I wouldnt deem Tab S 8.4 as a phablet.. its more of a tablet.. usually above 7" usually categorize as tablets already..

anyway im a user of the tab s 8.4.. and i find it difficult to compare the 2 together.. totally different league.. my feelings la..

anyway the mi max is a pretty awesome device.. i use to hate xiaomi becos of their china roms having too much nonsense in them and google apps integration becomes a hassle.. until global roms are out.. things seems alot better than it was before.. =x

depending on your usage and purpose.. the mi max is something to consider.. :) slim n sexy too..

actually dun need to troublesome.. u go add widget > toggle> choose"lock" then place on bar .. done;)
