saw online there is a EU rom.. not sure what it is... seems like its something like a english rom?

kinda lazy to go through so many threads on xda to reflash my rom to a better one without those retarded bloatwares

If i manage to flash it to original rom, does it mean if any trojan or malware exist before flashing will be gone?

Yup will be buying spare sp and cases from taobao and aliexpress but those will take about 2 weeks to arrive so i will need something cheap in the mean time. Btw first time buying a phone with 2.5d glass so how do i identify if a sp is for full screen i.e. stick to the sides?

Up to date (if i'm not wrong), there is no full screen clear sp available. For non full screen sp, really depends on ur luck somemore. Why i say so is, some brand it does stick but somehow some pieces wont stick (same brand).

For full screen sp, there will be borders like how ur front screen looks like. Do take note, it's using adhesive under the border to stick, the centre doesn't. Due to this, it will eventually appearing rainbow patches in the centre. It wont be much of a irritation, but it's really depends on users' toleration lvl.

I'm using full screen sp, rainbow patch had appeared. I'm ok with it as i very chincai one. So far when screen is on, it does not really affects at all. Unless you have very picky eyes.

Yes, official original rom will be free from malware. However when flashing, always do a full clean flashing, i.e. to say flash with option of wiping all or clean all (beta miflash).

(Only 1 sim card is active at each time)

I'm not sure why my 2nd sim card cannot achieve 4G

Why would you need both SIMs to be able to support 4G?

If the prepaid sim is starhub and you're overseas, sad to say it will only support 3g as starhub make it that way.

If not, maybe you are given a 3g sim card or you need to activate something via ussd or apps to enable 4g for that sim. Or finally maybe you're in non asia country and the lte bands does not support it.

Just get into EDL mode, miflash to MIUI8 Global Beta 6.7.21, happy and settled.

Ordered a 16gb set from NSE for my dad but have not received yet. Most likely looking to flash to official rom. For this MIUI global beta, does it come with google playstore by default or need to install separately? Also, this rom able to receive ota updates in the future?

My set from Newstar also came with the black horse browser and some unknown market applications. There are annoying pop ups. Its 7.9.x.x unknown rom version.

I just wipe all and flash them to china beta rom.

Oh well, did a search on the xiaomi forums and its confirmed that the 32gb rom can be used on 16gb variant since they share the same soc.
