I am using both 64gb and 128gb for the past 1 month. my experience is that both sets are also stable even with china rom.

i test both sim1 and sim2 - work fine.

test using 32gb and 64gb microSD also wirk fine.

test and working using wireless@SGx also working well.

test and working on the FTP function (inside TOOL ,Explore) also working fine, manage to test with other ports settings and do file transfer from my pc, ipad to two of my MI MAX , the transfer of pdf, video and pictures all works file.

the global rom for 64gb and 128gb are not official out yet, but i am happy with the current china rom so far.

using china rom, you can set your phone setting to english mode too, no problem.

hope my sharing and experience helps some of you.

Good day to all, don't be worry about what ram, what G and what rom mi max comes with, just you the one you need.

I have tried it myself first with 32G global rom now still using while waiting for mini 8. Will pass it to my Daughter after her psle.

I bought 128G for by myself and only China rom with play store but still face problem. So I learnt from guys here and Internet and settle it. Now I like chins rom better then global rom

Bought 32G for my maid(deduce from her pay of course) but came with China rom. I settle for her the same issue I faced. Now she using it happily.

I also tried pasting so for the 3 phone with first try failed. Now ok Liao, will not go phone shop to buy and let them paste.

My Wife was tempted to get one but prefer her v10 if not whole family support Xiao mi mi max.

So just learn and enjoy your new toy.

After you install google installer, the phone works just like any other phone but with china apps which can be set notification off but i just leave them be. Lots of theme which my 32G dont have. I am just as comfortable with china rom.

No such issue! It should not be that way!

Did you run 3rd part App lock or launcher?

Ya, was using another launcher, but even after uninstalling, the issue still there. Maybe need to factory reset?

Maybe the launcher leave some ghosts behind..... u need ghostbusters help.....

Jokes aside... Ya i think the launcher probably mess it up big time on the settings..... even after uninstall.... there might be some rogue files/settings still hanging around..... so u might need to reset it...

Ya, somehow i like the china rom.... though i have no chances yet to try global...... seems to me they working more on china rom rather than global.... if u chance upon both global and china rom changelogs.... u will understand what i mean...
