Hey guys,
I am first time miui user just bought it last night at Singtel. Beside wallpaper and off auto update, all other setting still default.

I got two questions
1) was charge it overnight with power off. This morning it is power on. But I didn't on it leh..
2)why I can not change the home screen clock color after wallpaper switched to white background (set to the pink rose flower with white background that one)

I checked power management all is off.
Tried to change the clock color to "high something", the color did changed to gold but it reset back to white after reboot.

Any tips? Thanks...

The remote control app also not very good. I managed to pair it with my KDK fan. But 2 days later, cannot control the fan at all..

was it you who recommended it? I didn't dare wait for the one from Aliexpress - the faster I protected the screen, the better. I just wish they made a privacy screen for the Max.

Anyone encounter problem setting up the fingerprint unlock? The system keep asking me to unlock the phone using the pattern unlock. However after unlocking, it is not asking for the fingerprint for me to configure.

You can't follow these steps? You need to tap on 'add fingerprint'. Did you tap on that?

It's for mi 5, should be similar for mi max, except that it's not the home button but the sensor on the back.

These are the steps to add fingerprint:

1. Go the Setting>Lock screen & password>Screen lock & fingerprint
2. It is prompt you to to confirm your pattern, do so to unlock
3. Screen will goes back to the Screen lock & fingerprint menu
4. Tap on Add fingerprint, and it will prompt you to confirm pattern again, do so to unlock the 2nd time and you will come to the Add your fingerprint screen.
5. Add your fingerprint

If this doesn't work, report back again.

Problem in unlocking

I'm using Mi Max with MIUI 6.9 version (initially it was MIUI 8 Beta - pre-installed by a local store as it's a China version).

Since the last two updates (from 6.8 version of weekly update onwards), I'm facing a problem whereas in several occasion I can't unlock the phone despite having touch the fingerprint sensor several times and key-in the correct password several times. As the result I have to wait for several minutes before trying to key-in the password and eventually the phone accepted my password.

I'm just wondering whether any of you have the same experience and can advise to overcome this issue as it's hassle when you need to make a call or else.
