Mi Max definately much safer then note 7 which will explode one.. Think abt it

Maybe Samsung wants to go into weapons manufacturing also. Note 7 is maybe to test the market. LOL!

Hey guy, I also don't like MIUI 8 OTA. I would like to back to MiUI 7.5.7 global with quick ball function. Any way to do it?

The ram also pre occupied more in miui 8 1.5g free instead of 1.7-2gb free in miui 7...

I searched MI forum...the thread still under discussion there..no answer...:o

http://en.miui.com/thread-289385-1-1.html

Just update to miui 8, firtly, the very sweet heart shaped sliding buttons all gone under pink brush theme, my wife was disappointed.

2ndly the wifi 2.4G is much faster then 5G. This is very obvious drop from 7 to 8. Any bro here facing this ?

Now thought of back to Miui 7. Which 7 got quick ball? Where can I get it?

Getting Huawei Honor Note 8 instead. 2k Super Amoled screen on a 6.6-inch screen. Woohoo song song gao jurong!

Am eyeing this also. How i wish its 6.8". Zenfone 3 ultra is too ex. Otherwise i buy long ago. Mi max no nfc very inconvenient. But the weight is light given the size

Haha, actually they used to be involved. Sold off already, but maybe some technology got left behind lol

Samsung Techwin
Samsung Techwin was listed on the Korea Exchange stock-exchange (number 012450), with its principal activities being the development and manufacture of surveillance, aeronautics, optoelectronics, automations and weapons technology. It was announced to be sold to Hanwha Group in December 2014[78] and the take-over completed in June 2015.[79]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung#Samsung_Techwin

Billed as promoting peace and stability, Samsung Techwin is the South Korean manufacturer’s defense branch. It makes surveillance, aeronautics, automation, and weapons technology. Since its launch into the defense industry in 1983, Samsung Techwin has developed and produced artillery systems like the 155mm self-propelled Howitzer M109A2, K9 Thunder, K10 ammunition resupply vehicle, fire directions center vehicles, amphibious assault vehicles and other weapons, according to Samsung.

Samsung Techwin’s flagship K9 is currently used by Poland, Turkey, and South Korea.

Honor Note 8 also no NFC. But for 2299rmb (32gb) + 2k Super Amoled 6.6-inch screen + Kirin 955 processor + 4gb ram is a definite buy for me. ZF3 Ultra is really too expensive. Asus priced themselves out of the market and it's taking them forever to get the colours in. I already placed order for HN8.

Edit: Forgot to mention that HN8 is 7.18mm, even thinner than XMM@7.5mm.
Going to start a new thread later for HN8. Anyone interested can go see see look look.

There's a thread on the Honor Note 8 already: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/android-user-group-323/huawei-honor-note-8-a-5448909.html ~

Yes, this happened to me 2 days ago after I rebooted the phone. I am on Miui 8 bete. It first accepted my password after the reboot. After it completed the process, I was asked to key in my pass code again. It did not work this time and even after a few attempts. I was then asked to wait for 1 min. There after, same thing happened, asked to wait for 5 mins. I tried to shutdown and reboot the phone to bypass the 5 mins but still have to wait for 5 mins. This time, I key in the passcode again, it worked. Since then, I only reboot the phone today, everything thing was alright. Really weird.

anyone can teach me how to root xiaomi max ah? :(

why do you wish and wanna to root?

what miui version u using?

which mi max variant u using?
