Coming to 5 months on this phone and loving it very much!

By the way, I am using the 3/32gb version, with the factory MIUI 7.3 (7.3.11.0 MBCCNDC) patch. Can anyone enlighten me how to update to the latest rom? Everytime I try to update using the phone updater it always fails me. Thanks in advance!!

is it on custom rom?

you gotta flash it with miflash.

Ok, I think I found the cause of the problem. The problem is :

MIUI Gallery App

If I were to go to MIUI Gallery App, then "send" a picture to Facebook, got problem. Or if I "send" a video to YouTube, the video will not get uploaded.

But if I were to go to Facebook app and then select the picture to post from there, ok no problem. Same thing for YouTube, if I go to YouTube app and upload videos from there, no issue also.

VOLTE issue

Can anybody confirms that Mi Max has "VOLTE"? Whenever phone call comes in, phone data will drop from 4G to 3G.

I have called up Starhub and they said that this is not caused by their side. Anybody here on M1 or SingTel? Can check whether could you get VOLTE?

Dunno if the SH CSO you spoke to knows what they are talking about. Looking at this thread on the SH forum, it does look like it needs to be enabled their side also:

This pattern is based on single sim setted for voice and data. If let's say, ur sim 1 is voice only and sim 2 is data. Sim 1 will stay 2g/3g and sim 2 will stay 4g/3g/2g. However if call comes in for sim 2, it will also auto drops to 3g.

To simplify, whichever simcard on 4g, when calls comes in for that sim, it will auto drop to 3g. This will happen always until sg telco support the volte for mi max. Fyi.

Need telco side to enable volte for the phone. I using m1 also will change to 3g when doing calls. In India the telco got enable volte for Mi Max so users there get volte function

Yes.

You must download the file first.

Transfer it to the Download folder of your Mi Max.

Then use the Mi Max Updater, Choose Update Package from the top right 3 dots to proceed.

WiFi or data connection must be switched on for verification purposes. :)

Enjoy your 8.0.2.0 then :)

Hi kelvin,
Shld I download the previous 8.0.1 Global stable Rom (I'm using the 32Gb India version) and keep it as backup in case there's something wrong with 8.0.2?

when i connect my phone to the PC it can detect my phone.. but when i enable usb debugging mode.. the ADB interface driver is not installed automatically.. is this ADB interface required for flashing of ROM?

Thanks mate. Updated fine. I am on mac, so I can't do fastboot, so I used the Updater App to update.

Everything seems fine, only setback is, this update did not hv what I wanted - turning off screenshot sound like what the beta had (from what I read) &#55357;
