The Mi4i is a disappointing device. That lag..

If you like the outlook and size of the Mi4i, can consider Mi4c. I am now using the Mi4c and has none of the issue. Mi4c is using snapdragon 808 + 3GB ram ( get the prime version ). So far I am staisfied with the performance. :D

Price wise is about $300. Only downside is no local warranty.

Hung, and mostly slow response.

Don't put your experience on Mi4i to other Mi phones. MIUI is great, fast and much better than many other UI like Touchwiz or LG. Mi4i is an exception as it has a flawed CPU from Qualcomm, other devices using snapdragon 615 and 1080p screen also suffered from same problem. Snapdragon 615 is a rushed 64bit mid-range product from Qualcomm, no matter how you tune the CPU clock it will still overheat and start to lag.

Mi 4i is a good phone, but the crappy SD615 spoils the experience, the SD810 too.

May be you should refer to Miui forum before comment. 615 is fine on other phone. Mi4i has been sufer from over heat issue since launch due to its design and hardware packaging. So finally, no choice, CPU clock is reduced to overcome this issue. This was discuss heavy at that time.

Haha, my Mimax went for a 5 second swim in an Aussie stream, took a inclined dive and a upward swing before sinking into the 2ft deep rocks. Wetted my boots retrieving near a falls. Left in rice for 18 hrs and working fine. Heng, botaiji.
hmm, correction, after using 3 hours, suddenly screen blank and cannot boot up, cannot charge, sending to xiaomi China direct. Hope no water detect.
