I am "upgrading" from my Coolpad 9976A (2014 7" phablet) to the Xiaomi Mi Max 4GB/128GB version, bought from qoo10 seller Sinoteck.

I feel kinda nostalgic/sad since I will be going from a full 7" to 6.44"

A comparison of their specs.

I know leagoo shark 1 is sold out in many stores island wide.

But the performance while playing games will leave many cursing.

Shark 1 sold out island wide? So many gullible people kenna chop carrot head? The local rrp of $399 is a total rip off when sites like gearbest and geekbuying are selling this phone at USD$160. How does one even justify paying twice the price just for local warranty?

Well. The thing is that most ppl are paranoid to buy phones online. They might also want there to be a physical shop to bang table and scream at if something is not working XD

Same for other stuff like DAPs or Headphones. Even shopping at Amazon can be much cheaper than retail shops in SG. I just got my Sennheiser HD650 for US380 (shipping included) which is way below the SG rrp of $699.

Maybe retailers stock up less :s13:

The price is really unjustifiable for what it offers, which the Redmi Note 3 and Mi Max performs much better and around the same price range too..

In the end, paid $328 for 64Gb Gold Mi Max on Qoo10. I'll miss the NFC though. But, the huge battery and screen is hard to ignore.. Plus IR means I don't have to get out of bed to turn on my fan anymore.
