Clean the surfaces well before using double side tape. And make sure you don't touch the tape when sticking both sides together.
You don't really have to worry too much about the super glue. In case things are done wrongly, use a cotton bud and soak in nail polish remover, and dab it around the sides, then use a pen knife to lift it off. It's much easier because the super glue is technically only stuck between the SIM and the double sided tape.
The optional step, is to use sandpaper to sand down the top side of the MicroSD. Some brands put a thick layer of paint. Don't go too far, or you might damage the card.
The modification requires patience, I took in total 1 hour to do it, first two times, SD card could not be detected.
I got my phone from Newstar...
I'm worse than you....
I failed both the art and maths....
I can't even paste SP...![]()
Mi Max is ridiculously big which I feel hard to maneuver with.

Same feel with you at the moment....
I do not want to regret after buying it and then need to go to Cotton On to buy few extra big and deep pocket pants.....![]()

Anyway, it's all about getting urself to get used to it. I'm used to sgs n4 in the past and i still find it big. I also hesitated to get mi max, but i know i will need a dual sim 4g + 3g set soon as my data every mth always near hit the current limit and carrying 2 phones is such a hassle... (yes i carry 2 phone to work....) and i always have a mindset of fearful-ness when it comes to china phone...
However, after much consideration, i decided to go for it and mi max is the current affordable no contract phone which i financially able to pay for.... yes i sound like a cheapo i know... too used to recontracting..
When i got the phone, i was like "wow! So big sia!" Magically, it only take 1 to 2 days to get used to the phone and start loving it. It totally changed my mindsets on china set and bigger phones.
No, no need unlock also can flash to global rom as mi max still have edl mode.
