Just received my mi max, pure china version, i follow utube video install the google service, get everything running, except contacts syncing. I am able install apps from store, when i go settings, other accounts, google, only 2 box available, app data n people details.

For now, what I did, was to use an app to transfer my contact to.vcf file using a app called mcfbackup , you can try that .. it's the best alternative if you are not from a xiaomi phone user..but the issue is , any new contact you add .. cannot be sync with your Google account... cheers

When i go contacts, i choose sign in acc, select google n log in email, but its say (This account already exists on ur device)

Go in manually cannot sync to google, and just found tat maps not working, even after reboot

bro use the contacts+ app in playstore to sync your google contacts works 100%

Thanks.. contacts + is a good app.. all in one.. dialer, contacts and SMS ..best is still sync with Google..haha

[Guidance]
First, you need to download this tool, if you want to use
After downloaded, extract the *.zip package
And then you'll be see in folder (package folder and Google Apps.exe)

1. Connect your devices (Mi 5/ Mi Max) to your PC with USB Cable
2. Your computer need to detect (know) "Android Debug Bridge (adb)"
3. Open "Developer Options" on your mobile devices
4. Open Security Apps > Permissions > Setting Icon (from top right bar) > Off Install via USB
5. Run "Google Apps.exe" to start using
6. Press any key to start install Google Apps
! Enjoy !

Cause your google play wasnt install ptoperly. Do a clean wipe and reinstall again. Happen to me last time. Are you sure battery life is ok? One of the best for this screen size and spec. Is my daily driver now

yes install contact+. Afterwhich you can uninstall and your google account will auto sync with your contact!
