From my past exp, zero chance, since it's not even with the courier yet. :(

Only have chance once the lazada tracking confirms that it has been handed to the courier and gives you the courier tracking number, and you receive the confirmation SMS from ninja side. Assuming they're using Ninjavan for our deliveries.

Should see something like this:

Your product(s) has been shipped with our logistics partner XXX and is expected to reach you within the next 1-2 working days.
For more detailed updates on your shipment, please enter your tracking number 123456 at XXX tracking page.

Simder Rom 7.3.14

Hi

I read through the messages but still cant really grasp how to flash to a Stable Rom

My device is 3GB/64 GB bought from Simder on MiUI Global Stable Rom 7.3.14.

The device came with Google Playstore and Mi Account. I can access both.

I installed Mi PC Suite - but this PC Suite software asked me to update the Phone software.

I read on the forum that I may have to disable Windows signature verification to get the Mi PC suite to work - I am not too sure about doing this as some forum feedback says Mi PC Suite does not support the Mi Max device yet.

I applied to unlock the Bootloader and have received Mi access to unlock - I have not unlocked the device yet though

I tried the System update method (http://en.miui.com/a-232.html) but the I keep on getting a "unable to access network / unable to verify update" message.

I realize that I am not able to access updates through OTA with this Simder 7.3.14 ROM.

Will this method (http://en.miui.com/thread-305827-1-1.html : Flash/Unbrick Mi Max on Locked Bootloader) work on this Simder 7.3.14 ROM ?

Appreciate your feedback and advice on the above

This method will work even bootloader locked.

Download china fast boot rom first, either miui 7 (7.5.6) or miui 8 china dev (6.7.28). There is no global rom for now.

Unzip the fastboot rom.

Download/install miflash (latest) and miflash beta, however there some mentioned that miflash (latest) works well.

Charge ur mi max to 100%

Enable developer mode and enable usb debug.

Open ur miflash.

Power off ur hp.

Press vol+, vol- and power button at the same time to go into edl mode. Note screen will be blank, the phone will vibrate once.

Connect your phone to ur pc and wait for it to detect.

Once detect, select the folder pointing to the unzip fastboot rom parent directory.

Select "flash all" for miflash or "clean all" for miflash beta.

Click ok or flash (ps i forget), hp screen will show nothing. Just focus on pc screen.

After pc show all ok, disconnect and reboot the phone (power button will do).

Wait for the phone to setup, i think typically 5 mins or more.

Enjoy ur phone.

Sorry guys, noob here. first time using xiaomi. i have downloaded the hydrogen 6.7.29 global rom. I'm using MIUI 7 7.5.6.0 currently. How do i upgrade the rom without losing my existing date?

When flashing from stable to dev, you better have clean installation as it will behave weirdly. Hence, i wont tell u how as no point, you will eventually need to reset the phone. Lol :s13: =:p

No problems with sound, i use earphones with mi max everyday. Volume set to 35% with Mi sound enhancer (General), equalizer rock. Using dev global rom - 6.7.29.

Hi, any found a car mount aka handphone holder for the Mi Max yet ?

The current Valore one I have in the car cannot fit the phone at all (only up to 5.7 inch)

And the 45SGD iOttie Easy One Touch found at Challeger can barely fit the phone (i.e. the phone has to be naked w/o even my transparent cover). Else it cannot fit.

Anyone found a good one that can fit 6.44inch?

The beauty and huge benefit of flashing it to a proper official Global rom is that you don't have to worry about not getting the proper official global rom updates as time goes on. :)

Therefore, it is really worth the learning and hard time setting your phone up from ground zero after flashing it, just one time and it benefits you forever. :)

Do it, folks! Don't waste such an awesome huge screen Mi Max. :)
