Motion detection screen?

I noticed yesterday while playing Pokemon Go that when I put my hand down while holding the phone, the screen goes dark like going into sleep mode...

Then when I raised my hand to view the phone, the screen lights back up....

Didn't realize the phone has motion detection for the screen

My friend told me that if install Google services & Playstore on the China ROM, the contact sync will NOT work and need 3rd party software.

Are you experiencing that as well?

Initially it was not working. Dragonguy mentioned here that need to give permission for Google contact sync for contacts. After i have permission, i removed my Google account and then used the contact function to add the Google account back.

The contacts are then synced without any 3rd party...

1 still on simder global ROM, the other 1 on middle sky aka new star full of nonsense China rom with play store...

I found an issue yesterday but after research online, it's seems like a Android 6 bug. If you have appointments from overseas that has Daylight Savings (DST), the appointment time will show up incorrectly

I sync my work's Outlook mail and calendar to the phone, then noticed that my weekly Tues 8pm call with US was showing up as 7pm instead.

Double checked on my notebook and it was 8pm. Thought issue with the Xiaomi calendar, but found online that it's an Android 6 bug
