but how come cannot see the change log


It says

Please try to login in the system with an authorized Xiaomi ID

but i have login the Mi account on the phone

I flashed from miui8 global stable to miui8 global beta (developer) v6.9.8 rom too becoz I need root access. I cannot live without Titanium Backup (to freeze/uninstall bloatware) and AdAway (for obvious reasons, ad free).

- applied for unlock of bootloader on Friday, received sms approval on Monday.
- flashed twrp recovery, rooted with SuperSU

This phone is superb.

Now, one thing is missing : third party music effects. I used to use Awesome Beats with Redmi Note. It doesn't work with miui8

Pokemon update buddy version will not work on rooted mi max. I already side load and got the incompactible message. Ya quite often mi max will hang, the top left icon kept circling and sometime must reboot than the pokemon come out. Everyday was catching lapras and nothing on my mi max, reboot and than it came out.

Yup, heard about it. Apparently Niantic will check if android OS has been rooted or not.

Good thing is I have quitted Pokemon Go.

Meaning local telco hasn't turn-on VoLTE support for mi Max. I didn't know telco must individually grant cellphone models on volte access.
Then I must switch bk to 3G on my Max. Thanks again.

Hi guys, I managed to install MyTransport sg to mi max. Here is the link for the apk and it might not be the latest version. However, it works.

Or.

Open up miflash.

Power off your phone.

Connect USB cable to your phone.

Press and Hold both Volume Up and Volume Down and plug the USB cable to the pc end.

You should heard a pee sound with black screen on Mi Max.

Release both the volume keys.

Your phone should now in Fastboot mode.

Start the sequence of using miflash to flash the rom to your phone.

Haha the pee sound sounds weird.

I've tried to test from 2% to 100% only once because it takes so long to drain the big battery down. It was about 4.5 hours using the supplied charger. Hence from 20% to full would proportionally be about 3.5 hours.

I'll usually leave it to charge overnight. Even if I forgot to charge overnight, it's still ok if the battery is more than 60% charged because that will still last me more than a day. When fully charged, the big battery will last about 2 days.

That's the advantage of a big battery.
