Reasons to get more internal data storage
1. Internal is faster than MicroSD.
2. You can protect the data with password or fingerprint scanner.
3. You can still use the 2nd slot for another overseas SIM card or separate work SIM from personal SIM.
4. You don't worry about running out of space for apps.
5. Your phone can be your portable drive.

1. Yes, internal storage is faster.
2. Yes, better security.
3. Yes, allow you to use dual SIM
4. Yes, but with the 3GB/32GB version, it is enough also.
5. Yes, can double as a portable drive.

I agree with all your points. But if both our phone were to suffers sudden death, all my pictures and video can be retrieved by taking the micro SD card out.

Point 2 can be overcome by restricting usage of the file explorer and folders for people to view on Gallery app.

Point 3 can be overcome by using another phone. Personally, I prefer to use another phone for another SIM card, "more clean".

Point 4, most people will find it sufficient.

Point 5, a $20 thumbdrive will be able to take care of that?

Yet, having said all that. Just buy whichever specs you want, end of the day, we are the one using it.

开心就好!!

Finally poisoned enough and joined the club, set up pattern and fingerprint lock.

But now phone has been locked for 30 mins *angry* because someone kept trying my pattern.

Only get Emergency call options now. Any MIUI pro can help? Swipe left I get camera, swipe down I get the notifications. Omg.

Lazada promo is usually single use per account. Read the T&Cs here: http://www.lazada.sg/promo-details/#HurryGrabSuper30

Some people create multiple accounts to use multiple times. But note that they reserve the right to cancel your multiple orders.

**multiple accounts... Sounds familiar to myself... Kekeke.

Just wait out the timer and it will be fine... I dunno of any way to get around that.

The only way is to wait.

To prevent this happening again, chop of the hands who caused it to lock up in the first place.

Mi Mover alternative?

Is there an alternative to Mi Mover? For some reason it's not showing up in Play store on my very old device and when I downloaded the apk from the official Mi forum, it tries to open in html viewer :s22:
Edit : found it and it says not compatible with my old device.

I use local backup in settings, wonder if it's full restore after Rom change? (Not tried restore yet)

Thanks. In terms of speed, very obvious slower huh... i assume you referring to 32gb mi max with 3gb.

Wonder if 4gb 128gb model will help to speed up

For your reference, I'm using Note 5 as primary and Mi Max as secondary!

Huge different in screen size! Of coz, Note 4 or my Note 5 is so much speedier and smoother than the mid-range Mi Max in day to day usage! :)

You want speed over huge display, upgrade to Note 5 or 7. :s22:

You want huge display over with high speed, then can upgrade to Mi Max! :s22:

The reason why the smart phone is so successful is that it is the digital Swiss army knife of many many functions. So why carry extra phone, extra thumbdrive, extra battery bank?

I have to say that even when you use microSD card, please still do regular backups. I have 2Nos. 16GB microSD cards that were suddenly unreadable. It is very common if you check on the Internet. There's no data recovery possible for microSD card failure.
