... and finally!

My 128 was delivered at 1030am by a young Indian Ninja.

I asked him WTF happened to my delivery.

His reply;

"Sometime, the delivery guy lazy and bochap, they rabak rabak and choose which item to deliver according to their liking after picked up from seller...bla bla bla.."

That tells you why my item was picked up on 26th, and they rabak rabak and only want to deliver today as today is the deadline.....KNN indeed lor.

Ninjavan really has bad service and reputation. I will write a strong worded complaint to Ninjavan.

It is confirmed a China set and has been unboxed and flashed to global rom by simder. I'm charging it now before I perform a reflash on my own.

Your Mi Max was freshly produced in December 2016 haha~

ok, thks a lot.

assuming if i install Global ROM myself, how difficult is it?
will it be as hard as a total beginner building and assembling his own PC rig from scractch?
Not really, there are guides on the Internet on the steps to install Global ROM.

Helpful bros like kelvinti is an expert on this too, can seek his advice too~

Wah piano!

Welcome back, bro!

You also roti prata back to Mi Max likes few of us did....and with the higest variant of Mi Max. Haha! :)

Ya! Newstar has the best price offered now. It is really super duper worth it to get the 4/128 as well as the 3/32 and 3/64 now, asap. :)

Potential buyers, Please hor.. don't get 2/16 even though it is dead cheap coz with the current state of Apps design and functions, 2GB RAM is not enough and you will complain it is laggy later.

My Simder set already flashed to official Global ROM 8.1.6.0 out of the box too!

However, I kiasu one! I just did a reflash of the same rom. That makes me feel good and secured! :s13:

I am planning to get 4/128 too tonight from simder to replace my redmi note 2. Since it's already flashed to global from by seller, do I really have to reflash? I am a noob and I really don't know how to do it, scared of messing up the phone instead.

No need. The 8.1.6.0 rom flashed by Simder is an official and latest version of rom from Xiaomi just likes those international set and it is as good as it gets.

You can just set it up out the box. No worry at all. :)

It is just my habit to flash it myself again before I start setting it up and use whenever I bought any phone.

This type of Full coverage is the best. Order from Aliexpress but may take up to 10 days to arrive but again it is cheap buying direct from Aliexpress at less than USD$7.00.

Some shops in sim Lim Square may have ready stock but could cost about S$20.

I don't root.

No need to unlock bootie flashing any official rom from Xiaomi de. No issue at all.

Only if you wanna flash 3rd party rom likes the eu rom that required TWRP and if you wanna root, then must unlocked bootie.

I think (but not very sure) once you flash back to Xiaomi official rom, you will lose you unlocked bootie again and you need to request unlocked again the next time.

yup. i agree. full cover is the best. I had a 2.5d cover from smartcell, and 1 full cover from alixpress mocolo.
the full cover really no horse fight.

That, I'm not too sure!

Technically, as long as you TWRP 3rd party rom, you cannot get Xiaomi official rom OTA liao!

However, if you don't TWRP 3rd party rom and only root it...Then, I think still can get official OTA.

Other rooting gurus may want to advise...:s8:
