Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S

If it's me, I will choose the MIX 2S.

The MIX series is Xiaomi's premium flagship lineup afterall, and it has extra feature that the Mi 8 doesn't have such as wireless charging, which is good to have(some may disagree).

yea I would choose Mix2s over Mi8 just for this wireless charging feature but since Mix3 is rumored to be out in Sept, I am prepared to wait for Mix3 instead.

If mix3 came out before Feb 2019, it would be still based on the same SoC platform.
The best scenario major changes would be

bigger battery
in-screen finger print
pop-up front cam
dual GPS
OLED screen

Buy now Mix 2s and upgrade later to Mix 3s or Mix 4 would be my choice

P20 pro is quite expensive, must well get Samsung s9+.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is much cheaper with good CPU choice.

Agreed it win Mix 2s. May be s9, but not s9+ for sure. As tested ot side by side at telco store before.

If all you need is a phone plus general photography. Mi Mix 2s is good enough. Mi 8 not in Singapore yet. Base on Hong Kong price. Mi 8 is slightly cheaper thenix 2s.

Not to forget this 2 phones come with standard QC charging standard. Huawei don't.

Not to forget Mix 2s also come with fast wireless charging. Which Mix 2 does not have.

That's what I did. Kinda regretted cos the camera is really far behind p20 pro. Night shots cmi de.

But general usage of the phone is better. Smoother. Built is also better. So depends on what u need.

Yes, position is funny. Only if you rotate the phone upside down, then it looks ok!

Iirc since Mi MIX 2, the camera software will prompt you to turn the phone around when you switch to selfie mode. I may be wrong though. Current MIX 2/2S users can verify.
