Only if you're comparing with the redmi series. Mi3 isn't a budget phone. I paid $438 when it was first sold here. For a little more the note is a huge leap forward. Compared to branded flag ship models launch prices it's a bargain. Think of it as a high speced phone with a mid range price.

that is before the local profit & FX spread, min you need to add another SGD $50-100 ...
