The sim card must be placed in Sim Slot 1 for EAP-SIM to work in Mi Note

Don't think there's way to repair the GPS because it's in the motherboard. Mine's mi note GPS is still working well after 1.5yrs.

Yes, if you don't mind the restricted 16gb internal storage. No microsd cqrd slot but you can plug in otg thumbdrive.

Xiaomi SG stopped selling officially. You can try reseller like mobilesquare, whymobile,etc. Or you can find export set on Qoo10.
