Well. Apparently miui didn't perform too well on the Mi4i. But then again, that was on the snapdragon 615. I think it will perform better on snapdragon 801

I honestly thought the official release in China was way longer than this year. Perhaps largely due to the massive long wait for a good value phone. I actually gave up on it and gotten a Note 4 Duos (which has been serving me very well indeed).

I guess interest level in general public has somewhat withered. Taking into account that rumours of Mi5 is already surfacing.
So in a way, we are somewhat 1 model behind.

I love the simplicity of MUIU coupled with the hardware. Biggest problem is MUIU is banned for corporate use. My Company's IT division refuses to allow us to use Mi phones with corporate apps as MUIU is "rooted" by default.

I would consider MiNote if I can install the latest CM in it.. The MIUI is otherwise a nightmare and destroying the good hardware.. Terrible!

There's actually aosp 5.1.1 ROM for you to flash. but camera performance turns bad and no HiFi.

Also the price is not compatitive. Add another 100 you can get a Samsung Note 4 with more features.

I did!! They made claims on that. BTW, I checked w another friend in MNC.
He too have the same issue w IT. Our companies simply does not endorse Xiaomi phones.Our only options were the Zenfones.

Anybody care to verify? Just heads up to those corporate users whom I think a dual sim phone would be the best option.

The "wonderful" MIUI is buggy, the software logic is flawed... no matter premium or non premium. Remember "software" not hardware.

Street price for brand new set Note 4 now is about $710, historically prices will drop $100 to $130 once new model is released. Hence come 3 weeks from now, you could potentially get Note 4 at $600? Why bother with Mi Note at $569 then?

Don't assume, you wait and see if note4 can go 600 when note 5 is just announced. That price could be one year after note 5 announced.

My company even not allowed iPhone to use for corporate use. We are talking about personal phone here. Corporate phone need lots more things to consider.

Take note all these products you mentioned are for sell in China only. There 100Mbps is already considered super fast. If they sell 1G speed model with more price guess no one wants to buy, customer don't want to pay extra price for unnecessary feature.

China do has internet speed faster then 100Mbps. Otherwise they must well sell router at N mode only. This will bring the price down further.
