I think to be able to go 4G+, the device must also support it. I remember the old Samsung s4 has 4G and 4G+ version. (May be same for Samsung Note 4, as rear cover of phone got print 4G+).

Ie it may be more then just the required LTE frequency band.

Yes the device must support CA which "combined" 2 or more LTE band to achieve. Maybe Xiaomi device the combination LTE band doesn't support our local Telco LTE bands.

The bands supported mirror that of the Xiaomi phones... so should be supported right? Cos the phones do run on 4G+...

Let me try with ST and M1 sim card later
Tested out my ST, M1 and CL sim card on Mipad 4 Plus. Only ST able to get 4G+, M1 and CL only 4G.

At the same spot and time, my oneplus 5 is able to get 4G+ on all ST, M1 and CL.

I believe Mipad 4 band for CA doesn't work for M1 and CL.

Don't think there is a official EU ROM. According to Miui forum, is a fake ROM.

Oh... anyone tried Starhub?

Anyway this is the LTE bands from mi.com but it does not specify the CA bands...

TDD-LTE:B34 / B38 / 39 / 40 / 41(100M)
FDD-LTE:B1 / 3 / 5 / 7 / 8

LTE will definitely works for starhub due to the band of B3 and B7 but whether u can get LTE+ or not. I dun think so unless the pad support CA for B3+7...

However, CA works for ST.

How do we know if CA is supported or not?

EDIT: CA = carrier aggregation
http://www.3gpp.org/technologies/keywords-acronyms/101-carrier-aggregation-explained

Very technical... don't quite understand except I think it means your device must have the aggregation of bands specified in your device and if your telco's particular combo is not supported then you don't get LTE+, or also known as LTE-Advanced... if I don't read the content wrongly... very confusing...

U are quite right. Based on my understanding, M1 and CL(based on M1 infrastructure) both using B3 & B7 and these 2 telcos will be using B3+B7 to achieve CA. Hence for the device to see "+", it must support CA @ B3+B7 which mipad doesn't. If not, we will see 4G+ on both M1 and CL. ST supports B3, B7 and B8, not sure about the combination but it seems one of the combinations supports mipad CA bands and hence on ST sim card, I can see 4G+.

I dun have SH sim so I can't comment. But SH is running on B3, B7 and B41 for their LTE band. SH has one more band compared to M1.

$250 is with local xiaomi 1yr warranty.

$200 is export set . It comes with 1 month shop warranty, which means if there is any problem with the tablet within that month, the seller will help to send it back to china for repair.
Hmm the one with local warranty is with china rom means need side load Google play store?

Sent from OnePlus ONEPLUS A6003 using GAGT
