i have a strange thing going on...

i put in my starhub card.. and then it is not able to register on the starhub4g network.. even manaully...

then i turn on my wifi to use my home wifi...
then the starhub 4g signal is lock on... and appears on the tablet...
then when i turn off the wifi... it's gone..

anyone knows why?

did nothing to it.. just use as per right out the box... just went to the link provided and download google play ...

i tried the card on my ipad.. and it works dfine...
any ideas?

Well, I got the SAME EXACT PROBLEM AS U. I even went to SH change a new data sim card and try, the xiao di still say, donch worry, now sure can.. chey.

And my SH MOBILE SIM can work (4G) , but not DATA SIM. (Cannot reg to network).
Don't understand why us there diff between data sim and mobile sim.

Guess have to ditch this and buy mediapad M5 liaoz.

hey guys, would the mi pad 4 suffice as a simple phone for my dad? currently in the market looking to replace his galaxy tab 3. he uses it as a phone, the big screen helps. was looking at apart from the new galaxy tab series, is there any other brands/models that are quite competitive in terms of specs and price, with similar screen estate.

TIA!

U can't use it for normal telephony. The sim card only meant for data and sms, not to make phone call unless u are using Whatsapp call.

bro if your father wants a big phone, just get the latest Mi Max for him la. He will really look like a kuku holding a tablet to make a call leh hahaha..

Mi Max is almost tablet size already but still wieldy within a hand... it's a good phone with great battery life!

Is it worthy to get MIPAD 4? Or should I get other tablets like Huawei mediapad?

Understand that this is on China rom,can Google play store and youtube be installed? Language can it changed to eng?

Planning to get the 64gb wifi version, saw on qoo10 that it's abt 315

the mi pad 4 is great. I got it with a global rom but not official.
I flashed the china dev rom now version MIUI 10 8.11.1 and it works fine with english and frequent updates. Google play, gapps, youtube, all work fine.
