Hi guys, so now in 2020 I have been reading all the pages of this forum since 2018.

I am keen on buying Mi Pad 4 (8 inch).

I actually ordered MiPad4 4gb/64gb WiFi on Qoo10 from a seller called W Digital Market/Win Digital Market ... I my placed order one month ago for $238 which I thought was an alright deal.

Then, after more than one month of waiting, the bugger seller suddenly cancelled my order without warning. What's worse, I see that they've now removed my old order option from their shop link. I can no longer buy the same 64gb model for $238.

Now, all alternative sellers I see are selling at much higher prices. Closest one is from another seller selling for $300+!! $70+ more than my original order that I waited so long for.

What is going on? I see that a lot of you old posters from 2018 got Mi Pad 4 for dirt cheap prices like $190+ (32gb wifi) or $200+. Why is it that now in 2020 the prices appear to be way higher than it was in 2018??? Shouldn't prices drop over time for old products???

Did I get screwed over because I ordered a good deal at $238 and seller didn't wanna honour it?

Also possible that in this global COVID-19 situation, with lockdown and working from home, and supply lines being delayed, there's a surge in demand for computer devices to work or study from home... and most people will go for the cheapest model just to tide them over this two months or so lor...

Even for a current model like the Samsung Tab A 10.1 LTE Korean import model, I bought at $275 in Oct 2019, and it's $335 now... that's $60 more... for exactly the same thing... likely due to demand surge in the current situation... same thing locally... a few days before 7 April, Challenger stores sold out almost all their stock of laptops and tablets, LAN cables, ethernet adapters of all sorts, wifi extenders, low end routers, etc... amazing but true...

Not so straightforward for many of us bro... ha ha... also not many willing to risking bricking a $200+ tablet... ha ha...
it is very hard to brick an android device if u know how to read and follow instructions.. -.-

I have not changed the mipad 4 battery but I have changed two other tablet in the past. It is not too difficult if you have the right tools and patience. I do find the replacement battery not to be on par with the original battery.

I did a quick google and it does not look too difficult. I think the more difficult part is to find the replacement battery at a right price. That itself can be straightforward or complex. I ever buy replacement battery from eBay and it came from Poland despite the battery being manufactured in China.

Hi I was wondering if anyone here has any experience connecting devices to the tablet.

I recalled being able to connect a mouse previously though that does not seem to work anymore.

Reason I am asking is cause I have a Huion610 tablet which works on Android device with OTG support.

Supposedly MiPad 4 Plus has OTG support, but I can't get it to work, nor are there any OTG settings to toggle.

Appreciate any help!
