Last night spends 2 hours trying to switch to developer mode. Finally able to switch to it. Bind it to the mipad 4 lte to the account. Must insert Sim cards and cannot do over the wifi. Waiting for the unlock, about 7 days.

Now I need to install Twrp onto the mipad 4 lte and then install the Havoc and Gapps. Any help will be appreciated. Do you used a memory card to do the mounting of the apps I mention?

Thinking of getting the wifi only 8 inch MiPad4.

Can I check if these are what I need to do to get Havoc-OS on it? (From my reading of the posts here)

1. Bind miPad to account
2. Wait 30days to unlock boot locker
3. install TWRP on Mi Pad 4
4. Flash Havoc-OS
5. download Open GApps

If there’s any guide out there that I can follow that would be awesome. Thanks.

Edit: are the steps listed on https://www.getdroidtips.com/havoc-os-xiaomi-mi-pad-4/ ok?

If you have 2 acc with permission, can unlock immediately without waiting for 360/720 hours. Not sure if the guide is still available online. But yeah that guide seems right.

Got into some issues while installing Havoc OS. I was able to install TWRP. However, I couldn't find the DOWNLOAD folder where I saved the Havoc OS zip. So have to abandon custom rom installation. Went back to recover since I already did a WIPE with the TWRP and let device reinstall back MIUI system.

However, after that when I try to reinstall TWRP. TWRP started asking for password to decrypt data when I boot into recovery. Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

it should be under your sdcard/Download for your havocos. else do ADB sideload when u in TWRP.

base on other forums:

1. CANCEL WHEN TWRP ASK FOR PASSWORD
2. GOTO WIPE
3. SLIDE TO WIPE
4. BACK TO MAIN TWRP MENU
5. REBOOT TO RECOVERY AGAIN
