volte is for u to make call with 4g signal..if u no intend to making call using this tablet den is OK,just use MIUI ROM

If you don't root, you can't use the GPS, made phone call and etc.

Would it be advisable to root it if I am just getting the 3/32gb wifi version? Is the 32gb an issue? Since there is a micro sd slot. I planning of using it for gaming like those 5v5 games. Serving the net, watch videos and as a planner maybe. Is it smooth like using an iPhone?

Sometimes the face recognition unlock don't work, tried pattern unlock also same problem, have to reboot device in order to solve the problem. Anyone else with the same issue?

The face recognition on the mipad 4 is not secure as compared to their phone counterparts. Don't use it as your main security

Bought a Mipad 4 a week ago, just got permission to unlock bootloader, than flashed custom rom with gapps. Using Havoc now. Don’t really like it leh, might reflash back to MiUi. I’m an iOS user, maybe that’s why. Anyone using custom rom? Can recommend?

yes, had this sometimes.
using EU rom.

still no idea why, but very rare that it will happen.

I flashed the kernel and the custom rom by the same author, late last night.

Compared to flashing Havoc, this was more of a hassle. In fact I tried three times to get it fully working, the first time couldn’t get his TWRP flashed, used another TWRP to fully wipe device first, than second try, I forgot to flash my Nano Gapps, but didn’t install TWRP after flashing rom, so I decided to redo everything. Third time the charm!

But dam, well worth the effort! Very smooth and good battery consumption, am on the 8” LTE version, no bugs so far, fully working. Is this what they call the “stock” android experience? 😂 thank you once again! In the future I got more android devices, this guy’s roms will be definitely top of my list.

glad u like it.
as near to stock as possible is always good, and light
well close to stock at least.. its on PA which is based of aosp.
guy doesnt usually do OS, he's more into kernel stuffs :)
