Anyone managed to change the ROM to cm11? I am unable to root, since when I open SuperSU, it says no SU binary installed, and I get a ton of popups coming up

Google how to root mipad, there is a guide in miui forum. Not that difficult to do.

Hey guys, ask u all. How do u delete video files from the MiPad??? I noticed that ever since the firmware upgrade, it shows the message that Android 4.4 Kitkat doesnt allow removing or renaming of files on external storage. I cannot seem to delete video files directly from mx player...

Any solution around this???

Doesn't it come with some kind of built-in file manager? MX Player Pro can delete movie files in external SD card of my ASUS tab but not in my G3. Both Lollipop 5.0.

Nope. I tried deleting from the app mx player and vlc player, same problem. Matter of fact, i tried through astro file manager, it fails too...
BUT it works on Miui own file explorer...

I would prefer to delete straight from video player though, after finish watching and delete.

That means it does come with some kind of built-in file manager lah. You gotta stick to that. No choice. As far as I experienced, LG and Samsung cannot, ASUS ZenUI can.

finally got my mipad...why the os still on 4.4.4? erm...overall....still love this budget tablet which i can play vainglory on it smoothly
