Xiaomi MiTV2 help

Hi bros, im thinking of using xiaomi 4k tv as replacement for my 27 inch 4k Dell.

I do a lot of browsing, as well as excel spreadsheet work and coding.


Would this be viable? Or will i just get a headache...

For mainly monitor usage, you may want to check out Wasabi Mango 4K TV instead.

Only the subwoofer can be used. The soundbar cannot be used for Mi TV 3 and above.

Apps from /system/vendor/app and /data/app on mitv3

Hi,
I screwed up my mitv3 after rooting by deleting many of the applications. Can any kind soul who has access to a mitv3, share with me the contents of /system/vendor/app and /data/app?

I have not been able to find any ability to download a copy of the firmware to do a factory restore for the mitv3. Speaking to the chinese support line from xiaomi also hit a deadend because the support staff required that the device be brought to a support center in china to get anything fixed.

By the way, I have tried whatever method that can be found online for the Mi TV 2 55", till today, after >1yr 3mths, my Mi TV is NOT rooted and Playstore not installed.

If you want to play with the Android part, I suggest you get another Android TV box and do whatever you want on it. In this way, if the box is screw, just change the box will do.

Because for Mi TV 3S, the soundbar is needed for the TV to work, so just need to get the subwoofer.

If you are referring to the one in the picture, the soundbar should be the one for Mi TV 2/2S. Or you may be able to use it with non Xiaomi Mi TV.

I'm not sure about that. You may want to check with the seller.

From my experience, seller on Qoo10 is not that on the ball with refund and resolving problem with the item. Just make sure you pay by PayPal.

If the seller bo chup you, seek help from PayPal.
