Can the export sets receive 4G on both simcard slots?

Are the stories true whereby come 2017 when Singapore's 2G networks are disabled, the second sim card slot cannot be used?

I suppose it has to be 全網通 3.0, which the Mi 5 has it but Redmi 3 is only 全網通 2.0 so high chance it's still 4G/3G+2G SIM combination.

so i got the phone at $181 from my dad from a qoo10 seller.

impressive phone for the price

1. Small size and quite handy. Not too heavy, not too light. The back seem to scratch easily, so i got a cheap TPU case on it and it feels ook.

2. Fast and responsive. Miui is not the slimest, but no slow down with all

3. Camera is acceptable for price range. Its not S7 focus speed and quality, but more than good enuff for the price. I roughly say it's equivalent to LG G2 quality sans the OIS. White balance under fluo not good though.

4. Battery seemed to go on forever

5. Dim can be very dim and bright very bright. I like this a lot. Even within auto mode, u can set it to auto dimmer or auto brighter.

6. The china rom is fantastic man. Got miui app store with lots of pirated games and free music to download. Got app to restrict data access too.

7. Bought the gold color as it's the cheapest. It's actually rose gold. Quite nice. Suitable for guys too.

8. Music quality not bad. Output quite crisp and clean. Not as good as the best, but at $181 i am happy.

Dislike

1. No double tap to wake.

2.Dont think it support active 4G and 3G. Will test it over the weekend when i have time though. Which means the cheapo me cant use it with a M1 free 1 gig data and a no data M1 plan. Bumber, else it's almost the perfect phone for the budget conscious.

After using for awhile u will realise there is actually slight lag here and there. But nth major.

Music quality if u are coming from an older flagship, it will not be as clear definitely. It's quite obvious. The audio settings can tune tho, so it helps a little.

For the price machiam anything is acceptable. Lol.

Nope, only one 4g the other 2g, vice versa. So when 2017 come one sim goes into 4g the other one no network lol, means can use data but no calls, can call but no data. Double tap to wake exist already using custom roms but this feature also cause higher battery consumption. Volume buttons to trigger unlock is pretty sufficient already.

For those who bought from New Star Electronics, check if ur miui version is 7.9.1.0. That is an unofficial rom. U may want to flash the latest official china rom 7.2.7.0. Not sure if it's a coincidence but shortly after I left a review and pointed this out, the seller took off the listing on lazada. :s22:

Stay on MIUI 7.1.1.0. It's the very first rom not much bugs and is the best battery life rom.

I don't know. Still trying to get used to it.

My exchange email keeps replying as garbage. Anyone knows how to fix this? If not have to install new mail app for it

Never encounter any issues during my time of use. Battery life wise, it's just a beast. The best battery life I've ever came across yet. Imo, its one of the best sub $150 phone you can get right now.

Probably because it's the lowest end lol so people don't want use. Who cares? Their loss is our gain. Number of users for Redmi 3 in China is high, so support life for it will be there.

Lol true. I like the battery life mostly. Sd616 runs surprisingly well too. V energy efficient. The phone barely gets warm when u use it for long time.
