Hey all, something to feedback. I am in Japan now. Before the trip, I got a Yokoso data sim. But it does not seem to work on the Xiaomi at all. I have a Redmi 3 and i brought a 1S to be used as a hotspot. Both did not work (APN was configured). But it was ok on my wife's Xperia.
Regarding whatsapp issue, even after I edited the settings to allow whatsapp to run in background, I still get late notification. Now I try turn off restrict app usage see how.

China ROM usually have problem with global apps like WhatsApp, my Redmi 2 flashed to CN Developer ROM usually will have this late notification issue

Hi guys, has anyone got their redmi 3 pro yet?
Hand itchy bought one from Aliexpress but seller infrom me flimware not upgraded and will inform us to upgrade when it is release. Wonder if the performance will still be as good as the redmi 3?

Seems like some latest MIUI 7 updates have this issue. Across various Xiaomi models. I got so pissed I reverted back to previous MIUI 7.0 series rom for my Redmi 2. Plus obviously ignore subsequent notif for any OTA latest updates.

The latest MIUI 7.2.3 update seems to be problematic, many complaints from users, heng I resist the consistent annoying update notification

I c. But for redmi 3 the oldest version also quite new. Lol. Probably will still hv the issue. This whatsapp problem I think from long ago when redmi first released in sg alr got hear abt it.
I was browsing the s7/s7 edge thread yday and also got ppl complain abt this. Apparently android 6.0 got doze feature which will stop the notifications from coming in on time. Lol......

Yup they keep increasing their price every week.
Anyone tried the Redmi 3 Pro? Worth extra S$60 for the 32GB 3GB fingerprint sensor?
Just a little info about redmi 3 pro. Initial available space is 25gb out of 27gb. Initial available ram is about 2g so everytime you close all programs bal will show you 2g. Batterylife can't tell as only 1st day and not under intensive use yet.
No sharp parts nor loose parts but similar to what has been said about redmi 3, connecting the usb cable to phone still feels rough. Fingerprint is sensitive, 2sec to hear the activation and another 1 sec to enter the main screen.

i'm still waiting for redmi 3 to be released in Singapore
... any significance difference if i were to buy the redmi 3/pro china version? Is it able to switch to global rom later once singapore releases it?
