Xiaomi has officially unveiled the successor to the Redmi 3 series, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 series!

Redmi 4 series features a flagship built quality, with a 2.5D curved glass on the front, CNC crafted metal body and more.

The Redmi 4 Prime features the high-performance Snapdragon 625 SoC, a 2.0GHz Octa-core processor. The Redmi 4 Standard features the Snapdragon 430 SoC, a 1.4GHz Octa-core processor. Both processors are efficient and performs smoothly in everyday usage.

Redmi 4 series features a 4100mAh battery, which allows a long usage of the phone without the worry of the battery going low.


Pricing of the respective Redmi 4 variants:

Does not seem particularly exciting or big leap from Redmi 3, given the price.

If according to specs, the Pro version can but standard version cannot...
The Pro version got Snapdragon 625,it is the same processor used in much expensive phones like Asus zenfone 3,OPPO R9S and Huawei Nova.
They also announced Redmi 4A with Snapdragon 425 2g+16gb at 499 rmb. Cheap!

The standard version using SD430, clearly state 全网通 2.0 only tho, doubt is 4g+3g

Had a chat with the CSO of Xiaomi's Tmall store and they confirmed that the Redmi 4 Standard edition will only support 4G+2G dual SIM.
