i am using google keyboard to avoid this problem

anyone has this problem? The headhone indicator keeps coming on in the status bar. This causes the proximity sensor to not work. When making phone calls, the screen doesn't go off, and my face will come into contact with it and activate certain functions.

I tried many, from KingRoot, KingoRoot, One-Click-Root, etc but they all dun support.

Your phone is with which rom, global or China?

Anyway, check that your phone date/time is updated, then the update can go through. This applies for all phones I think.

fooling around with my office's REdmi 4A


left 2 4g simcards in it.

when set to default sim1, sim2 no network [i know the 4g+2g limitation]

when set to default sim2, sim1 able to display network[in this case, Singtel.]

switch the physical sim around and repeated the above. Same results.

I think it's a bug. rebooted and still the same.

4th Quarter of 2017, Android operating system minimum requirements with customized UI (that is not pure Android) should be at least 3GB RAM, 32GB storage + dedicated microSD expansion slot.
What's the rationale for such configuration? Puzzling..
