Found another global rom MIUI V7.0.8: LINK

Takes a long time to download. Google Play is pre-installed.

Great standby time - left it overnight with wifi off @ 100% battery charged and this morning, it is still 100%.

My initial impression is that global rom do not drain the battery as much as chinese rom.

So far so good, will use it for another couple of days to gauge performance and stability. :)

PS: Root will be lost and recovery reverts to stock Mi Recovery.

No big difference...removable battery for budget phone is preferred.
Waiting for xiaomi to shift to oled screens...

MIUI V7 5.11.5 - developer rom, still beta with couple of bugs. Decide to abandon it.

7.0.8.0 had the most bugs thus causing the delay of the global rom. Good luck with that.

Not very stable. After browsing for a while all the apps will suddenly close.

you off wifi, your battery sure got maintain 100%. if you on wifi, some Redmi note2 can drop 10%-30% battery over the night. I flash Poland ROM, with wifi on, 9 hours battery still remains 100%. haha

Sent from Xiaomi REDMI NOTE 2 using GAGT

Do u mean you can see all the icons in a single entry in phone contact? Which rom version are you using?

It cannot read from your contract list by default. This has been a long issue with Xiaomi/Redmi series.
