Usually for new devices, need a few days for battery to stabilise. Also, many apps will be downloading updates and syncing data to "catch up".

so far so good with the phone. finger sensor is indeed fast. u guys use the default launcher? any way to sort them? oh and if it is possible to delete the empty screen? I've shifted app into folders and the 3rd page is empty. thinking of removing it but I dunno how to

Yours not local set? You need root access to set google play services as system app. Because whatsapp is using GCM (google cloud messaging) to send push notification. When you clear all from RAM, it will terminate google play services because it is not a system app.

Flash a local rom.

everything about xiaomi is good except for the **** MIUI. thats why i sold my rmn3

Redmi Note 2 long out of stock already, but I don't think there will be any restock in the future, since they've stop producing Note 2 already.
Redmi 2 has been introduced for one year and has been succeeded by Redmi 3, so likely no more restock for it too in the future.

Pinch the homescreen then select which screen you want to delete.

Might be Google services like location reporting that cause the drain
