Xiaomi has time and again clarified that they are only honouring warranty from sets purchased from their 3 official channels I.e online, telcos or Challenger. http://c.mi.com/sg/thread-2214-1-1.html

Hmmm... That's confusing indeed.

All retail shops must get it from Xiaomi sg webby which launched it official in April.

As long as the set is purchased from Xiaomi sg webby, then the warraty should stand. I think lah...

Hey guys.

After considering and researching hard for over 3 weeks and having sleepless night over it, I am finally the proud owner of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 32GB GOLD. :)

I bought it from Starhub at $299.

I initially wanted to buy at Mobile Sq at $298. HOWEVER I noted that Xiaomi does not cover warranty unless you buy at either their online sales, at Challenger at $319 or at the 3 Telcos.

No wonder Mobile Sq is trying to sell you at $1 less. And also with ONLY cash. I want to use CC for cash rebates.

Therefore I then decided to take the safe route and buy from Starhub. :) Using CC of course.

Just sharing my experience with those who still are deciding where to buy their Note 3.

Good luck with your purchase! :D

Haha!

I'm still holding on to my 2 years old 6" LG G Pro 2..

But needing a dual LTE sim phone for secretive tasks. So, this is value for money.
