Hi,

Just collected my RMN3 32G just now from SLS. $230.00 comes with 1 mth warranty. Still ok for me as I need it urgently due to my Mi4i battery bloating bigger and bigger...

Anyway, the staff there says it's a China ROM. If I wanna a Global ROM, I need to do it myself. The staff helped to install Google Play inside.
What's the difference between those two ROM? Any advantage of running Global ROM/ China ROM?

I'm a EN Language User instead of Chinese (though I see the phone icon is in EN).

Thanks! I bought it off from Qoo10. Was abit fustrated though after I made my payment and then being told no stock when Qoo10 reflect available stock. End up hv to wait for another 2 days.

Anyway, I just apply for Mi Unlock. How long will it take to approve? I plan to flash it to MIUI 8 global dev ROM.

Anyone here have Bluetooth pairing issues with their RN3 ?
I have a RN3 Pro on Global rom 7.3.7.0(LHOMIDD), which just won't detect & pair with my Samsung LeveL headset.
The same headset works with my old S4 9506.

It pairs okay with my S4 for file transfer though.
Something wrong with it's Bluetooth audio profile or I am just unlucky enough to have a non-compatible headset?

While waiting for the unlocked result. You can Fastboot MiFlash_beta to MIUI8 Global Developer 6.7.5 right away skipping the MIUI7 Global rom 7.3.7.0 altogether!

You will love the MIUI8 for sure!

Whatsapp issue

Is anyone experiencing the problem of not receiving whatsapp messages in group chats that happened while disconnected until the comes is online? Like what is described here github.com/davidgfnet/whatsapp-purple/issues/359

You don't need the bootloader to be unlocked to do so with RN3.

You can Fastboot miflash with bootloader locked too in EDL mode.

I don't have a Bluetooth headset but my RN3 Bluetooth connected and functioning well with my LG sound bar and with my "mobile" audio system.

Did you set your Bluetooth headset to pairing mode?

What custom rom u using? Got good batt life? I'm using resurrection remix. Dont really have a good batt life compared to miui

Currently Resurrection Remix also. Still testing and observing. But so far so good. SOT 4hrs and still have 50% battery left. Considered good or bad?

I received the unlock code sms. During unlocking process, it got stuck at 50%. I went to the forum and many users also faced the same issue. U all managed to get it right on first attempt? Login using phone number on PC and phone still problem persists

Mine was stuck at 50% initially. It turned out that the laptop was still trying to detect/install the driver. After that driver settled, become OK. My laptop is a bit problematic related to driver thingy.

Same problem. Seems like the only ways are to do the unofficial way or to submit your log on their thread.

I have to turn on power save under battery mode to achieve similar levels of Miui. Unplugged at 7am now has 88% left. I did achieve 5+ hrs of SOT on stock. Think yours is ok leh.

Nope I didnt get it right on 1st attempt. Also stuck at 50%. unlock BL the unofficial way

Yes. Once you are on global ROM all Google apps will be present.

Any slot can be 4g enabled. You will just need to select which sim to be the internet sim.

Finally received the sms to unlock boot loader. Can someone post a download link for resurrection remix and gapps? Thanks.

Do I need to root first prior to the resurrection remix installation?
