thanks, that worked for me :s12::s12:

i realize chrome default will have that orange lock icon enabled in the multi tasking view

anyway to enable whatapps to default lock in memory ?

not sure what you mean anyway np. one more thing you could try instead of using the "lock". try going to installed apps> Whatsapp > other permissions > tick start in background (maybe previously that function was not enabled). Like I said I have no problem with needing to lock app.

for chrome orange lock is it the same as the one after u enabled the whatsapp "locking" . in miui 8 its no longer orange i guess, its blue now

Anyway anyone else got this weird problem with Miui 8.1.1 or it could be a hardware problem. (After googling the problem seems widespread for RMN3)

Problem: When plugging in some earphone (2 pins without mic functionality especially ) The earphone will get wrongly detected as a earphone with Mic and after 2-3 Seconds the icon will disappear. Will need to plug it in several times before the phone correctly detects it as earphone (no mic). I also tried with xiaomi piston basic v1 (china model in orange, orginal from their tmall). Its 3 pin and after have detection issues. Will need to plug in, plug out abit then push in slowly before it gets detected. The inline volume up and down also screwed up and doesnt work properly already. (volume down works but volume up increases the volume and then the software immediately lowers it straight away, making it useless).

However some earphone does work (3 pins) other than the v1 piston basic, that gets detected on first try.

TLDR: Earphone detection issue.

RMN3 SD 650 3gb ram Xiaomi SG model bought at challenger in april 2016. Had this issue for about a month plus, thinking of repairing.

Once you locked it, it will be locked until you unlock it even if you reboot your phone. What orange lock icon enabled? Do you have a ss of it?

Have you found a suitable casing?
For tempered glass, did you just use the normal note 3 version?

Sent from Pocoyo fan club using GAGT

i searched ebay n aliexpress
seems to be only 2 options
thin clear plastic
thicker PU leather by lecuo or something

i ordered a bundle that comes with the tempered glass
dunno the glass dimension

i kept accidentally pressing the screen with the meaty area under my thumb while holding the phone :s22:
hope the case can add some clearance

Ps the other day when i went to service my phone they said since last year, the telephone number doesnt work anymore and they do not have any phone number that can be used to contact them which is quite sad.

Also I noticed that the charging speed of the phone depends on the cable used and also requires the use of the charger that came in the box.

Original Cable and Charger from box = <3 h charge time
Non Original cable + original charger = ~4h charge time

Anyway update to my headphone jack problem. Xiaomi Service Centre replaced the motherboard for my phone and this changed my imei also. However it seems the headphone jack problem not really resolved. When headphones (with 2pins ) no mic and volume control is plugged it, it doesnt always detect it.

Miui 8.1.6.0 Default installation after repairing phone. Battery Drain from 90%-43% in 9h while sleeping. Like wtf.

What cable are you using? If you're using those $10 for 3 cables or valore then you're better off original cable.
I'm using verbatim cable and romoss charger at home.
Tried anker car charger and speedy cable(NOT gospeedy).
All works within expectations as per original cable/charger

I used a variety of cable to test and plugged them in through usb doctor to monitor voltage and current. The highest readings i had was 5.25v 1.69A with original cable and also the xiaomi Power bank short white cable. The others had current ratings between 0.5A-1A respectively.

Anyone has experienced intermittent mobile network signal?
The mobile signal sometimes change to ""emergency calls only" sign and then switches back to telco sign. This happens over and over.

Problem started to arise in the past 2 days.
Using MIUI 8.0.5.0 (LHOMIDG)

When I first got my Note 3 (Kenzo 150mm length version), I also noticed that my phone would lose mobile network signal from time to time (on SingTel network).
Then after I last updated it to MIUI Global Stable 8.0.6.0 (LMOMIDG), I no longer experience anymore lost of mobile network.

Happy with my Note 3 performance, I bought a newer Note 3 (Kate 152mm length version) for my wife.
Even after updated to the latest software version, my wife complained that her Note 3 still lose mobile network signal quite often.

My colleague happens to have a Note 3 (Kate 152mm length version). He also experienced lost of mobile network signal quite frequently and had to reboot phone to recover the network signal.

Any suggestion or solution to this lost of mobile network issue?
Am considering a Note 4 (SD625 version) for my next purchase.
Does Note 4 has the same issue?
Thanks.

I'm using starhub on kate miui8.1.3.0 and didn't experience any drop in signal.
Which provider are they using?
Maybe you could try factory reset on the phone.

Hi guys, I really need some help please. So I decided to go the Redmi Note 3 (SD650) instead of Redmi Note 4 (SD625) after reading the gsmarena reviews.

I want to get protect my new love with tempered glass and casing. However I do not know if my phone is the RM3 Pro or the RM3 Special Edition. My measuring tapes shows that my phone is measuring at 151mm. It's neither 150 or 152.5mm.:eek:

Please help... :(:(

You measured at the start of tape?
Try measuring again at the 10cm mark? Lol
