Order the sp and case from aliexpress.
When the case is attached, there is a border at the lower left. How to remove?

Sent from Pocoyo fan club using GAGT

Casing seems to be abit tight like size not compatible. Try to raise concern to seller see if they will resend you one more.

For some unknown reason I still cannot authenticate the originality of my handset on xiaomi's site. However I did what you suggested, and took the measurement of my phone from the back. It is certainly about 152mm. That was really helpful, thanks!

Is there any apps in google playstore which will allow me to detect which antenna bands my phone consist?

Only Extra Band in Kate version is B28, 700mhz.

This phone is not made to last. Please do not get from 3rd party seller. U have been warned.

I bought e Pro from Xiaomi direct @ launch for $299. Used few months & on off switch became v difficult to press. Tong till warranty gonna expire, sent in. Replaced MB, battery & switch. Basically, everything except screen. The replacement board can't upgrade to android 6 & miui versions beyond 8.0.6, nvm as long as stable. 15 days later, phone stopped charging. Sent in, said connector loose. Guy reconnected and replaced e charging port for me. Next day, used phone half way, black screen of death with top right indicator light as green, not blinking... after no reaction, I hard reset phone & it bricked. Had to resend in to service within less than 24 hours. WTF... they use sub standard parts for repair, dun provide loan phone or refurbished set.

Gonna collect it later. Will change to samsung or oppo soon... I have bought 3 Xiaomi phones all during their 12pm launch day sale prior to their shifting to Lazada. Enf is enf. My time not worth e savings for a sub par experience.

wow seems like you were really quite unlucky. My service experience with them wasa bit different though. I cant say for certain about the power button as I hardly use it. (To turn on phone I use fingerprint scanner, to lock phone i use onscreen lock button ). As for servicing I wanted to fix/replace my earphone jack as it was unable to detect earphones without MIC&volume control function. The service guy said had to replaced motherboard. After replacing motherboard they even updated my miui to latest (at that time) from my 8.1.1.0 > 8.1.6.0 which had battery drain issues for my phone and all data was reset. However after supposedly replacing motherboard, still same problem. (IMEI did change though, so they probably did replace it).

So not sure about your software issue. But my conclusion is definitely there are some compromises to be made for the phone. For me the headphone jack issue I would just suck it up (though last time no issue).

Prob got a lemon.

Redmi note 3 is the phone that withstanded all abuse i've thrown at it. Cracked screen no problem keep using. Dropped into swimming pool? No problem, dried it off and keep using (months passed no issue), daily thrown here and there drop floor by baby son, no problem. It just keeps working!!

Although it's simple, not the higest spec in anything, but hell, it's definitely my most durable phone to date.

So it is better not to update my MIUI?

i never update my phone from 8.1.1.0 and i turn off automatic brightness and set to lowest brightness. Still managed to get around average 6h of screen on time. About 1 year old liao. When i first bought miui 7 out of the box automatic brightness etc can get 6+h screen on time. I think the update makes it slightly less. probably they tweak it for more performance or something. Or its less optimised.

On a side note anyone noticed that MIUI 8 GPS sucks. I cant get a fix even after rooting it and updating GPS Config to set it to SG servers.
