I'm in the same position too. But I'm currently leaning to the mi5 since its more of an upgrade from my redmi note 2.

im very tempted for mi5 too but (for now) settle for redmi note 3 because
- First time using MIUI. dunno if i will be used to it or not
- mi5 just launch and there's millions of order. not sure when it will reach sg
- cost of phone (on the assumption redmi note 3 will be cheaper)

Mi5 screen size is 5.1, redmi note 3 is 5.5 inch. So, if screen size does matter to you, then think carefully On which to buy. I m ised to 5.5, anything smaller cannot accept already

Just to share freely here for those peeps interested.

Indian's note3 is launched today. It's pricing for the snapdragon 3/32 is even cheaper than China. If u have lobang to buy in India. Should go for it.

My main worry is if the LTE band may be different. Does anyone know?
