My apologies. I thought it is a local set selling at promotional price by official xiaomi. Didn't realized it was an export set. Trying to be helpful but seems like it got backfired. I've deleted the post to avoid confusion.

Got 1 from my GF at Lazada 2-3 weeks ago at around 239 before shopback 2% discount and Frank card 6% rebates. Total should be around 218 after discount. Free glass protector too! :s12:

Try Starhub or M1 loh...If not and cannot wait, Challenger is selling at $20 extra but you can get instantly...

Challenger selling at $20 extra is as bad as the flippers. Should be asking people to go down to the fareast dealers instead. Mobile square still got a good no of sets last evening when i was there.... only $299.

Flippers are selling something which is not on their hand...challenger is available at all places...Think of it as the transport cost to head down to Far East and go back...If really want to save, can go nearest telco mah...Give people options but still better than flippers who don't even have the phone on their hand but selling more ex than Challenger...

honestly i don't think Challenger should be selling things above RPP. If they are allowed to get away with doing that, next time can sell a lot of other brands above RPP depending on supply & demand however they like.

They can sell it as a compulsory bundle with sd cards, screen protectors, casings to bump up the price. But as a nationwide retailer, selling products above RPP is very bad business practice.

Actually all of xiaomi product be it mi band or phones are more expensive than the RRP by Xiaomi Singapore...Good also that they are closing down at Funan...but if you can't wait and need phone urgently, would you buy from a flipper and wait 3-5days or Challenger...Once stocks from the flippers come in tomorrow, if they are selling below Challenger, I would say it is better to buy from the flippers rather than Challenger if anyone needs the phone immediately and the telcos sold out on the phone...

Of course there are other avenue to get phone at RRP...I am still hoping the flippers sell at below RRP or any shop selling below $299 as I need another phone...

I think you hate a lot of people in your life, right? Hate Xiaomi/telco for not supplying enough stocks, hate Challenger for marking price up, hate flippers for not selling you at RRP and not delivering the phone to your house right now, hate people for keeping you waiting, etc.

The phone is not so expensive. Instead of hoping people give you $10-$20 discount, I think you can focus on other better things.

I personally hate Xiaomi for bringing this phone to Singapore too late. I already bought another phone. This RMN 3 actually gives quite nice feeling in the hand but I found the screen quality can be improved.

Good luck.

why would flippers be selling below RRp?

If you can go walk in to store and pay $299, would you pay whatever amount the flippers are selling at $299 and above? The only motivation for consumer to buy from the flippers is at below RRP...If flippers cannot sell at $299 and above, what do you think will happen to the price? This have not taken into consideration those weird people who would somehow sign up with telco and sign up for this phone which would be sold to mobile shop like mobilesquare at below RRP...If this people sell it below RRP on Carousell and etc, flippers got no choice but to lower their price...
