You can say so. Did you notice that the Xiaomi is combining the SD card expansion slot with the SIM slot on their newer models? I guess this could be the reason they are doing so.

Yes in some way but after 2G phase out why would anyone still insert SIM into slot knowing that the SIM won't work.

The sim in each slot will work n connect to 4G. You on sim 1 then sim 2 effectively is off, n vice versa. Just that you can do this switch from the screen that's all.

Yes but for those that wanted to have dual standby to receive call/sms then this will not work anymore.

i have an china version of this phone and have gotten it soft brick. meaning that im still able to on and see MI logo with white screen, phone still able to detect by those mi software. but it just hand at the MI logo screen. anyone can help me with this? =D

issues happen after i tried to change it to global rom....

The global rom is only for snapdragon version.
You can try flash it back using fastboot

According to spec,

Slot 1 = micro sim
Slot 2 = microSD or nano sim

But I can only verify micro sim and microSD.

Go to security app>permissions>autostart...

Select whatsapp and you won't have any notification problems...If anyone got any other app notification delay, do the same thing for the app....
