It all depend if Xiaomi has plan to make the model available outside China. So is better to wait then sorry.

It doesn't comes with true Global ROM, but some sellers may preload either modified China ROM or install Google Play for you.

Battery life is a plus. Camera still standard mi camera nothing much to happy about.
Fingerprint sensor very prompt response.
The displays seems to be the best one from Xiaomi. Very clear and bright even under sunlight very readable.

Bought the 4x yesterday and flashed to Taiwan ROM as well. No need to unlock bootloader, just flashed over using miflash. Performance wise, much much better than my old mi 4i. Works well as a reservist phone, battery life is superb. Left house at 7 plus, now 11.30 and I still got 84 percent batt left

Yup. My main phone is a galaxy s7. For normal day to day usage the redmi note 4x doesn't seem slow. Maybe only when installing apps etc it lags a little.

Seller flashed modified global ROM which you can't even OTA update.

Taiwan launch 4X hence the real official Global ROM is out. Can OTA.
