buying export set and hoping to have global is more of a luck. and if u want a global om u can flash it on your own. but ofc if u want problem free will definitely be local set.

Can be either as well. Anyway for those want a note 5 should take note of the official specs since some shop themselves also can be quite gong on the specs.

But best is aim for note 5 Ai(china)

we are discussing redmi note 5 as is known in China and everywhere except india. India refers to it as redmi note 5 pro. dual rear cam set with snapdragon 636.

I think save trouble just walk in to local stores ask for note 5 32 or 64Gb, job's done.

No confusion no chance of buying some screw up.

just get the china set redmi note 5 from univercell (physical shop at farrer park) or online at lazada/shopee. its an AI set with better camera sensors than the indian/global set. their prices are pretty fair too. can wait for sales/coupon to get a good deal.

No la, of cos not expecting iPhone or Samsung galaxy quality. Just seeking some users review on the focus speed, indoor, and low light/ night shot.

Went shop to see with my mum just now but its so bright almost every phone on display camera looks the same.

Bought a local warranty black 64gb note 5 last week, was comparing this and Poco over at the store.
Ended up choosing note 5 as don't really like the plastic feel of the poco.

In Short
I am surprised a phone this cheap runs apps quite speedily and the feel of it with the free slim tpu case has an expensive feel and weight to it.

Took great shots and selfies throughout the week and must admit it certainly is a good hp replacement to my old Samsung A7.
