China retail prices for the 4/64 is 315 sgd. Aliexpress sellers offer them worldwide with a small mark up and shipping included which turns out to be a minimum of 350. I got mine at after a 20% so yea 380 is exp.

Yes. But the Pro version is region specific, in this case India. The global rom most likely won't work on the Pro but will work on china's set.

FYI, there is indeed a global set. It's not released yet, hence all the pre-order you see on Aliexpress. The global set is to cater for the European Market with two additional bands, B4 and B20.

A tipster had previously mentioned it and his past record has been pretty spot on.

It would also highly co-relate with Xiaomi current expansion in the Europe region.

Regarding flashing of Xiaomi Roms, if you buy a China Rom set, you can flash either Global Rom or China Rom on it. Only issue is that one has to ensure the correct model rom is downloaded, eg Your phone is called Rut, you only download Rut roms and not Kate rom. Doing so otherwise means bricking your device and not all the time would you be successful in unbricking it.

It's more of market price now, are you willing to pay $384 when MSRP is 1399 Yuan which is about SGD$292 (not inclusive of forwarder fees etc). So the difference you pay is for the middlemen and shipping.

Local Set Pros:You get warranty for one year, got issues can go to Xiaomi Service Centre at Eu Tong street. Subsequently, Xiaomi Service Centre will still repair your out of warranty device for a fee.
Local Set Cons: Higher pricing

Export Set Pros: Cheaper, same product
Export Set Cons: Need to flash rom yourself, no warranty (even if you pay Xiaomi Service Centre, they will reject you), can only ask the seller whom you bought it from to see if there is any repair options or you have to DIY yourself.

Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi Note 5 is world apart due to the processing power, Redmi Note 5 is almost 2 times of it and the camera is better.

Pro version is not region specific. The reason for the naming of Redmi Note 5 Pro is because Xiaomi India went to declare Redmi 5 as Redmi Note 5. Thus the "Pro" was meant to distinguish the two devices. In actual fact, there is only Redmi Note 5.

Upgrading from your Redmi Note 3, the camera is way more superior on the Redmi Note 5.

Currently the best camera a Xiaomi phone has are the Mi Note 3(小米Note 3) and Mi MIX 2S.
